Thank you, Bishop Strickland. Why are other Bishops not as upfront or “vocal” as you are? Is it because they fear reprisal from their superiors? reduction in financial support? their secrets revealed? loss of popularity? Are they victims of political correctness? or are they simply cowards? Why are you a lone voice crying in the wilderness? God bless you and thank you again.
Vote only for candidates who uphold the value and sanctity of human life at every stage?
Bishop Strickland I’m not sure if this is exactly what you wrote, I can’t remember it word for word. But if only we could have such clear choices before us.
In the last presidential election some high profile online influencers were encouraging Catholics not to vote for either of the leading presidential candidates because both Democrats and Republicans supported abortion in some form, so they advised just don’t vote for either!
In this case I believed it was clear cut that voting for the lesser evil was the only truly pro-life option.
I believe Father James Altman spoke bravely calling out and criticizing such influencers for sacrificing even more unborn children, just because there was no candidate who had a chance of winning the Presidency, who opposed all elective abortions from the moment of conception.
Thank you good Bishop Strickland for standing up to culture of death, but it’s a spiritual battle fought in situations that are not as clear as we would hope.
As for horrible compromises made by the Catholic hierarchy, we should ask what ever happened to Psalm 25 which was part of the Offertory?
“Gather not my soul . . . with men of blood,
On whose hands are crimes . . . hands are full of bribes”
Why was this ever removed from our Sacred Liturgy?
I pray this Psalm in full for the Catholic clergy, from priests right up to the office of the pope.
That’s an astounding number of abortions. Apparently the ancient practices of human sacrifice ie Aztec, Incas is alive in the 21st Century. It seems all things old like totalitarianism, anti semitism, killing for profit are new again.
I do not wish to draw readers from the Bishop, and don't believe I will, by recommending a Substack called Lydwine: Dispatches for a pro life nation. Lydwine is a collective, but its principal writer is a musician named Brian Kennedy. Lydwine's most recent installment makes for reading which is hard on the soul, but it's hard in the always ultimately nourishing way in which truth is hard.
Thank you Bishop Strickland for telling the truth about abortion and euthanasia! Now euthanasia is voted in France, shame on us. The vote on death from human conception to death! Shame on those who direct their people to evil doings l ! Thank you dear Bishop Strickland to lead us through the Scriptures His Way His Truth His Life.
I will definitely adopt spiritually everyday an unborn baby in risk of abortion and trust him/her to Jesus, Mary and Joseph. Thank you bishop for your guidance.
How many Catholics contracept? I can guess, though I think Catholics would rather not answer. Isn't Pope Leo XIV from Chicago? Who are the recipients of the Catholic Charities of all the dioceses? We laity can ask, but bishops are not obliged to answer. I can tell you that TLM families with many kids don't get some of that Catholic Charity. Financial obscurity seems to be part and parcel of the Catholic heirarchy nowadays. I guess all those sex abuse lawsuits lawyer bills pile up. Why do cardinals need apartment buildings in London? It's like kids asking parents who are addicted to gambling where the income goes. "Don't worry about it, mind your own business." Even though the kids contribute into the income. I guess my rambling went from Culture of Life vs Culture of Death AND Culture of Grift because there is a correlation. Saint John Chrysostom says, "I beg you, remember this without fail, that not to share our own wealth with the poor is theft from the poor and deprivation of their means of life." So chalk up another one for the other bishops to answer for during their judgement.
Thank you Father. God bless you. 🙏🏻
Thankyou Bishop Strickland, you shine the light of Christ in the darkness. James Roberts, London
GOD reward you abundantly, Your Excellency, for speaking the unvarnished truth in and out of season.

Yes, Father! We must stand up , support, and speak up for the unborn, elderly and those who are ill. I need to speak up instead of staying silent.
Also, post a link to this Substack on your social media.

Truly You are what You should be, praying that Your Excellency will set the whole world ablaze with Truth 🙏🙏
Thank you for providing practical action I can take to assist our anti-child culture become a child welcoming society!
Well said, Bishop Strickland! Thanks for being a True Shepherd! We need and appreciate you. God blessings be upon you.
