Thank you Bishop Strickland for your strong expression of faith, especially after all you have endured at the hands of heretics in Rome. I pray for you daily and for the remnant of God's church that we will all stand firm in the faith with you as an example.

Non nobis Domine, non nobis. Sed nomine Tuo da gloriam. Amen.

It is said that God brings good out of bad situations. You were maligned and sidelined - a great loss for Tyler Catholics, BUT a huge win for Catholics worldwide. Thanks be to God for your guidance in a world and Church turned upside down!

Unfortunately, I have never heard or expect to hear such truthfulness from either my priest or my Bishop.

You have a right to expect it! Hold them to what is being said here. It’s our duty to do so. It’s tough to challenge a priest or a bishop, but if you aren’t hearing what Bishop Strickland is saying, we have to gather the courage to do so. God bless you in you in your efforts! 🙏🏻

Yes, true. But do you think they really understand these concepts, these truths? Most likely not. And that is not to denigrate such shepherds but only to take note of the condition of our understanding of this world, theologically and philosophically.

I would suggest many neither were trained nor understand….attending a Jesuit retreat 15-years ago a young woman asked if I was a priest, that broke my heart with her realization that the Jesuit priest leading our small retreat was so poorly formed.

Another time attending a class on the NO Mass, I asked a question on Scripture to which the priest advised me that he was trained in the Catechism, Scripture not so much. As intently as I listen to the Homilies, I obtain my best understanding on line attending Mass for the Sacrament. Such is life within the active life style.

During a breakfast at a seminary where I was delivering a workshop I happened to mention Benedict XVI. Immediately, thirty heads rose quickly from their meal to acknowledge my comment. I continued, "You must have a wonderful theology instructor." No, they replied, shaking their heads. They were all self-taught. They studied Benedict XVI on their own, with one another. There is hope.

Bishop Strickland, you're on a roll! This one of your sentences I greatly admire you for: "Tyrants rise and fall. But behind the scenes, demons strategize. They traffic in confusion, distraction, and despair."

The following stood out for me; such beautiful exhortations:

" ...the message that would forever divide time and eternity. // We must ask: how are we building? ... Is our witness aligned with the Lord’s eternal Truth? // ... the Church does not exist to echo the world. She exists to convert it. // The devil is more than happy to let us become obsessed with earthly battles, so long as we forget the eternal war for souls. // If we try to shape our mission according to human logic, we will miss the miracle. // It is tempting to focus on earthly threats. But the true battle is spiritual. // The enemy ... He’s after your soul. //

We must be clothed in the armor of God, because no bunker will protect you if your soul is unguarded. // If we forget that the real war is spiritual, we will be pulled into a thousand skirmishes and win none. //. What will it profit a man if he survives collapse but stands unready before the throne of God? // The real storm is not what sweeps through the land – it is what seeks to sweep souls away into despair, delusion, and destruction. // We must learn to live as though eternity matters – because it does. // “Woe to you that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness” (Isaiah 5:20). // We are seeing it now: good priests silenced, faithful Catholics maligned, sin celebrated, and cowardice applauded. // We must proclaim the truth because it is the only way souls are saved. // God is still searching for those who will not merely repeat pious phrases, but embody truth with fire and fidelity. // The world is tilting. Truth is mocked. Even within the Church, many are twisting themselves into strange shapes to fit the spirit of the age. //. Everything must be brought back into alignment with Him who is the Way, the Truth, and the Life."

True. Beautiful. Inspiring. BUT do those around us have any clue, whatsoever, what it means? I feel that most humans, like 98%, have not the slightest idea what this "spiritual talk" means. I recall Catholics telling me, "We do not know what all this spiritual stuff means, and we are not interested." They were more concerned about the fish fry event. I do not believe this altered focus belongs only to the laity; rather, the clergy may show greater piety, but to explain Reality? Not so much. The Church must conduct a huge REALITY CHECK. What the heck does all this language mean IN REALITY. The Church lost its ability to establish a reality beyond the material. Now even the "faithful" are moored to the material realm. The language does not connect. Maybe we start a dialogue... when we make statements like those above, we ask the listerner, "What does that mean to you? What reality does it convey?"
